Club Programs & Interclub

Glendowie Tennis Club offers social, competitive and free coaching programs to members.

Find the program/s  that suit you and come to the club for a hit!

Non members who would like to try out the club are welcome FREE of charge for up to 3 sessions.

Please note: Club programs run during the school terms.

Junior Club Night

Friday

  • Junior members - All abilities

    • 5:00pm to 6:00pm - Squads: red, green and orange (5-12 years)

    • 6:00pm to 7:00pm - 12 years + or invited

  • Fun drills and LOTS OF LAUGHS!

  • Pizza on sale or sausage sizzle - Bar open

Senior Club Play & Drills

from 7:00pm

  • Social drills & doubles

Midweek Club Play

Thursday
9:00am - 11:00am

  • Senior members - All abilities

  • Social doubles games

  • Morning tea around 11:00

Vets

Wednesday & Friday
1:00pm - 3:00pm

  • All abilities welcome

  • Friday's - socialise at the bar after play

  • Play goes on 52-weeks of the year

Senior Interclub

Twilight & Weekend

  • Summer weekend interclub commencing in September and finishing in the following March/April​. Played on Saturdays at 12:00pm fortnightly.

  • Winter weekend interclub commencing in May and finishing in August. Played on Sundays at 10:00am fortnightly.

  • Twilight interclub played term 1 & term 4 on Tuesdays at 6.30pm. There is a single/doubles competition and there is a doubles only competition. Matches are shorter format.

  • We welcome all players to join an Interclub team. Register your interest or enquire at glendowietennis@gmail.com

 

Please note: Family memberships are for non-competitive senior memberships. If you wish to play interclub regularly, there is an add on of $70 - please contact glendowietennis@gmail.com to arrange this. This also refers to juniors playing senior interclub on a regular basis.

Weekend

Midweek Ladies Interclub

Tuesdays
 

  • Summer competition runs from October to December and February to April each year​

  • A very informal and relaxed winter competition is played throughout Terms 2 and 3

  • Teams selected based on past performance, current grading, club champs results and observations of the selection committee

  • Register your interest or enquire at glendowietennisinterclub@gmail.com

  • Competition runs weekly for term 1 and term 4 (not on weekends around public holidays) ​

  • GDTC has a large contingent of junior interclub teams for players of all levels.

  • You may choose to play Saturday or Sunday or both. Players are encouraged to register for Saturday and Sunday, often they register as reserve for Sunday to get extra rounds (or vice versa).

  • Beginner Grades start at 12:00pm on Saturday, this is a great place to start for young kids or kids who are just getting going and still learning to serve and score.

  • Open grades start at 8:30am on Saturday and 9:00am on Sunday, this is for kids who can serve and score.

  • Every round of Interclub requires 4 players, they play one doubles match then one singles match.
