Glendowie Tennis Club (Inc) is a family orientated club that was incorporated in 1957. With around 300 members, we are one of the largest clubs affiliated to Auckland Tennis. We are situated in the Eastern Bays of Auckland, and have a grassy open air situation, with a spacious club house and bar. The club has become known in the area as a community club with a focus on both tennis and social activities for it's members and the wider Eastern suburbs community. Its membership consists of competitive interclub players, social players and juniors. 

In 2011 Glendowie Tennis Club was awarded the New Zealand Tennis Club of the Year award – an honour that our members are very proud of.

Glendowie Tennis Club runs a comprehensive tennis programme to suit all ages and all abilities, with an emphasis on junior tennis which comprises of after school squads, Saturday morning coaching and play, Friday night tennis and pizza night, junior interclub, junior/intermediate club championships, a parent/child tournament and school holiday programmes.

Our senior tennis calendar includes summer interclub, winter interclub, club night, club championships, MOT’s (Men over Thirty), veteran’s tennis and midweek ladies club day. We also offer a crèche service to enable mothers of young children to participate in midweek ladies tennis.

Alterntaively, we welcome non members to play for a cost of $10 per player per visit, honesty box at court 1.
